Loboc River in Bohol

Philippines TravelWhat a fantastic way to experience Filipino cuisine, Visayan traditional music and the beautiful tropical riverbank paradise. The Loboc River in Bohol, Philippines made us experience all these and much more.

Loboc River is located a few kilometers away from the city of Tagbilaran in Bohol, Philippines. It is 2-hour flight from Manila. The Loboc River Cruise features floating restaurants. You can feast on Filipino food while the floating pontoons take you on a relaxing trip down the river.

While you are eating your lunch and savoring the tropical breeze of Bohol, you will be serenaded by native singers. They sing traditional Filipino and Visayan songs with their guitars and colorful polo shirts and native hats. Aside from the view, these singers are one of the best things I loved about the boat ride. They are friendly and they make you feel at ease.

The whole River cruise takes about 45 minutes to one hour. There are public floating boats and private floating boats. The ride for the public boats are priced at less than $4 and the ride for the private floating boats cost about $15 and additional $5 for each person.

You will feel the Filipino spirit while you are in the Loboc River Cruise. The friendly, talented and hospital people, the wonderful tropical paradise, the sumptuous Filipino food and the lush vegetation of the Loboc riverbanks– everything you ever dream of in a Philippine vacation are all here.
